Art is not always about pretty things. It’s about who we are, what happened to us, and how our lives are affected.

Hank

Australian Shepards are working dogs for sure, but members of the family too. Hank is the oldest member of the family with three children. They live on a farm and have never known life without Hank!

“...when she turned it around for me to see, a wave of emotion hit me that I wasn't expecting...and then the tears. Hollis does an amazing job and captured Hank in a way I didn't think possible!

“Everyone who knew Hippy and has seen the paintings say they are so life-like. You truly captured her on canvas and we will treasure the paintings forever! I think everyone should know about your talent!”

Hippy — A treasured member of a growing family. And yes, there are two paintings of the same dog. One painting for the parents and one for the child who grew up loving this pet. Hippy is gone now but the love remains! This was especially meaningful for me to work on — I too grew up with a dog that I couldn’t remember a time without. I loved her dearly — I still do.
